About Me
Preo-wrestling fan since 1961 in Philadelphia, the Washington DC, till 1972. Mid-South from"72-75, then WWF, UCW, NWA, Tx, & AWA on TV until 1980 Japanese Wrest in 1980 while stationed there Have been in southern CA since 1981, with TV cable/sat & Olympic Aud, now Champ Wres frm Hollywood Faves: Sammartino, Backlund, Rock,Goldberg, Austin, Cena, Mysterio Lesser Faves: Koloffs, Calhoon, Andre, Starr, Crusher, RW/LOD, Zybysco, Shamrock, Mascaras, Bret Hart,, Shane Douglas, Sabu, RVD, Morrison, & Cesaro The problem with likes/dislikes for me i98s whow the wrestler is used, which depends on many factors, including the time they are present with a specific organization. Bruno did not have to trasvel as much as Cena has to today, so was in better condition to wrestle at MSG 200 times and keep the belt for 6 and then 4 years, although one must remember the self DQs, also. . No present-day champ can sustain the more-active schedule and keep the belt very long, no matter how deserved - it all goes back to what storylines creative embodies. Hogan had a good one, even when he undermine WCW as NWO for VKMjr, but isn't nearly as popular doing it a different way at TNA I honestly think Rhyback's performance should be manged like WCW's Goldberg was, although 180+ wins in a row is a bit too much, considering the roster. m I use to think Cena could be a modern-day Sammartino, but John is way too outspoken . I see Randy Orton as Bret Hart, or even Owen. And why doesn't creative either feud or team Henry & Sow together? How much longer can TNA withstand the 8 or 9 members of the A & 8's; WWE had all it could handle with three invaders. I do not enjoy or appreciate a hard-contested match broken up by interference by anyone, especially those espousing "justice" -= reminds me too much of the KKK and neo-Nazis. I have many viewpoints which I can discuss with anyone willing to provide temperate conversation. That means I can talk about anything, so long as it's not given or taken personally.
Roundinf out my background, I am married, have a 43-yo daughter, am retired from the US Navy, as well as frawing social security, had caqreers in medical and financial fields, and have a BS and AS academic degrees. Aside from PW, I enjoy TV, SF, Fantasy, gaming, cruciverbalism, and philately, until I recently sold my collection. I am physically disabled, but still manage to travel a few times every year. |
